재미있어 열심히 읽다보니 숨이 찬다는 느낌이 든다. 투자를 위한 책을 읽을 때 재미라는 느낌은 예능을 볼 때의 재미라는 의미와는 다른 의미일 때가 많다. 순수하게 모르는 것을 알게 될 때의 재미라는 측면이다. 굳이 고상하게 이야기하자면 지적 희열을 깨닫게 된다고 할 수 있다. 그럼에도 투자 책을 재미있게 읽는다는 말은 이상한 나라의 엘리스보다 더 이상한 이야기가 될 수 밖에 없다. 그런 종류의 책을 많이 읽고 있는 나에게도 마찬가지이다.

가끔, 나만 보고 알고 싶은 내용이나 책이라는 언급을 할 때가 있다. 그만큼 내용이 좋고 나에게 직접적인 효과가 날 것이라는 기대감에 하는 감탄사지만 사실 그것은 자신이 얼마나 부족한지를 남들에게 알려주는 감탄사다. 내가 얼마나 부족하고 아는 것이 없는지를 공개하는. 이 책은 많은 것을 공개하고 알려주고 있지만 분명한 것은 누구나 다 보고 느끼고 깨닫게 되는 것은 있을지라도 자신이 부동산을 돌아다닌만큼 보일 것이라는 점이다. 그 이유는 혹시나 책에서 언급된 지역중에 자신이 사는 곳에 대한 이야기를 읽을 때와 타 지역을 읽을 때의 느낌을 보면 알 수 있다.
