책 제목이 욕을 연상시키기도 하지만 서양과 나머지 세계라는 부제라서 어딘지 모르게 제목이 마음에 들지 않았다. 본인은 아니라고 이야기를 분명히 했지만 서양관점의 이야기라는 것에서는 부정할 수 없어 보였다. 굳이 하자면 서양의 흥망성쇠나 지는 서양, 뜨는 동양이나 서양의 부상이유정도로 해도 충분히 책에 대한 부제로써 될 것 같은데 말이다. 동양에 살고 있는 어느 보잘 것 없는 초로의 푸념이다.
