Jennie: A Top Boss Giving 120 Million KRW Salaries While Earning 9.4 Billion KRW Herself!

Recently, the American weekly news magazine TIME released its list of the "100 Most Influential People." Among those selected, Jennie was the only Korean K-pop artist to make the list. This achievement clearly demonstrates the immense level of influence Jennie currently holds on the global stage.

Jennie’s popularity is far from being limited to South Korea. On Instagram, she has been ranked as the person with the most "likes" in 2026. She took the top spot with a staggering 13.1 million likes, proving her status as a social media powerhouse.

The situation is the same on YouTube. She is the most searched K-pop idol globally. This dominance is consistent across all regions, including every major music market in the world, showing her universal appeal.

Just a few days ago, she also participated in the Met Gala. This famous event is hosted by the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. It is a prestigious gathering where only those who have been specifically invited are allowed to attend.

Although she became famous as a member of BLACKPINK, she has now become a brand in her own right under the name "Jennie." Her first solo single, "SOLO," released in 2018, surpassed 300 million streams on Spotify, marking a significant milestone in her solo career.

This was a first for a K-pop solo artist. In addition to her music, she even created a Hangeul font called "Jen Serif." In collaboration with Meta, she distributed this font for free to celebrate Hangeul Day.

In 2023, Jennie established her own agency, OA (ODD ATELIER) Entertainment. While Jennie holds 100% of the shares, her mother serves as the representative. It is essentially a one-person agency created exclusively to support Jennie's individual activities.

In 2024, she signed a partnership with Columbia Records. The expression "a walking corporation" is certainly not an exaggeration in her case. Through OA, Jennie received a staggering 14.3 billion KRW in 2024 alone.

In 2025, she received 9.4 billion KRW. When you combine the amounts received over these two years, the total reaches 23.8 billion KRW. Furthermore, she also paid out a total of 1.08 billion KRW to her employees.

Currently, her agency has nine employees, which means the average compensation per person is approximately 120 million KRW (approx. $88,000). Considering that a high salary is often the best form of welfare, it seems like an excellent company. Jennie is truly remarkable in many ways.
